Located in Chester’s historic 13th Century crypted cellars on Watergate Street, Vin Santo is a wine merchant and bar serving the exceptional.
As you enter our cellars you are met with an impressive selection of wine, champagne and spirits in our merchants – the perfect place to find a gift or a tipple for the weekend.
Hidden through the original coursed sandstone and brick passage you will find our bar… relaxed and welcoming.
Upon perusing our menu, you will find an impressive collection of not only champagne, wine and fine wine but beers, spirits and cocktails too.
Join us for a wine experience like no other, as we take you on a relaxed journey around the world of wine.
Extensive Wine List
Explore our carefully curated selection of wines from around the world. This changes weekly to reflect our ever-changing collection and ensure there’s always something new and exciting to sample.
Sipping List
Here at Vin Santo we love the grain as much as the grape and accordingly have selected a classic range of spirits that represent both quality and provenance. Rum, Whiskey, Cognac, Añejo Tequila and a whole lot more.
We have an extensive list that encompasses national, international but especially local gin. Cheshire is home to some incredible distilleries and we’re proud to showcase this in the shop and bar.
The majority of our beer list is selected weekly in conjunction with the wonderful Lisa and Dale from ‘That Beer Place’. As two of Chester’s foremost beer aficionados, they ensure the bar has fantastic traditional European lagers and the best in modern British craft beer.
Champagne
"Come quickly, I'm tasting the stars..." - Dom Perignon's apocryphal proclamation upon discovering what we now know as Champagne today.
We tend to agree with his celestial assessment of the world’s finest fizz and have stunning selection available by the glass and bottle.
Fine Wine
Upstairs in the snug you will find an impressive selection of fine wine and Champagne.
Although these are kept under lock and key a member of our knowledgeable team will gladly wax lyrical about our most treasured tipples!
